On Tuesday, August 18, Community Board 12-Manhattan’s (CB12M) Business Development Committee, chaired by Rahdiah Barnes, partnered with Ponce Bank to host “Cafecito, Commerce & Connections” at the bank’s new Inwood location.

The goal of the evening was to bring small-business owners from across Washington Heights and Inwood together with Ponce Bank and other local services. Speakers, including representatives from government agencies such as the NYC Department of Small Business Services, walked attendees through the resources available to their businesses, and owners had the chance to connect with the speakers, with one another, and with members of the Board. Ponce Bank provided the space, food, and drinks.

The committee plans to make the event a series. Business owners who want to stay involved are welcome at Business Development Committee meetings, held the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.
